Hi there! My name is Adeline. I’m a French American dancer, and am passionate about moving my body. I grew up in the United States training in ballet, jazz, and a variety of other dance forms since I was a very small and energetic five year old. Years later, after completing my Bachelors of Science in Dance and Human Physiology at the University of Oregon, I made the decision to move to the Netherlands. I learned under the guidance of K/C Move’s director, Margherita Bencini, to teach Barre and Pilates group classes, and earned my Kineticode Pilates certification in 2023. I’ve been happily living and building my community in Amsterdam, and am currently learning Dutch and studying at the European School of Physiotherapy.
I have the pleasure of teaching ballet for adults at Amsterdam Amateur Ballet (AAB), and also teaching pilates and barre classes at Anima House, Studio 191, and Pilates 13. I use my knowledge of anatomy to assist people with developing their artistry and athleticism in a way that honors their bodies’ natural anatomical alignment.
Another motivation behind my teaching is to help people find a sense of flow between their mind, body, and space. With so many things now online, there is often this sense of numbness, disconnection from the body, or feeling stuck. Movement offers a way to land in the present moment and navigate landscapes of emotions, embodied senses, cognitive understanding, and motor skills. In my classes, I strive to build supportive spaces for groups of people to move together – spaces where people can feel connected in their mind and body.
